A FRENCH SURGICAL SET MADE FOR MILITARY USE CIRCA EARLY TO MID 1800S
[lightslider_looper]

This is a military surgical set, composed of instruments marked CHARRIERE, a well-known French surgical instrument maker of the 1800s.

Note it is numbered on the front of the box with box latches similar/consistent with other European military surgical set makers of the mid 19th century.

The set is complete with a lovely inner red upholstery, operational brass hardware on the interior, and a handle to facilitate transport.
